Hi, I'm Morgan Phillips!

Let's get crafty with a DIY project or dig into some planting together!

The Workbench Wench is where your DIY dreams or home jungle aspirations can finally become reality! Lost in the hardware store or nervously Googling "why is my plant drooping?" I get it, I've been there. Take a deep breath; you've just found your go-to gal for all things DIY and plant care. Whether you're tip-toeing into your first project or buying you first plants, you're in the right place.

A Little More About Me & My World.

By day, I’m a full-time STEM and robotics teacher, helping middle schoolers build robots and solve real-world problems.

By night (and nap time), I’m a first-time mom learning the beautiful chaos of raising a tiny human while still making time to pick up a power drill or repot a plant.

I’m obsessed with all things DIY, from home improvement projects that actually make life easier, to filling a room with plants that bring a little more beauty into everyday life.

Here, you’ll find me sharing the real-life how-to behind it all: creating cozy, functional spaces, keeping plants alive (even when life gets crazy), tackling DIY builds without the overwhelm—and doing it all with a baby on my hip and a coffee somewhere nearby.

~Let's Work Together~

Together, we can tackle everything from budget-friendly DIY decor to mixing your own soil. If you're local, we can even set up in-person "DIY tutoring" sessions. With a “watch me, now you try” approach, you'll say goodbye to contractor fees and plant funerals, and hello to the satisfaction of “I made this happen!”

Ever wished you had a "been there, done that" expert on speed dial when starting a project? Same here. I thrive on collaboration and love bouncing ideas around—because no one has time to waste 45 minutes on a YouTube tutorial that doesn't even answer the question you asked. Two heads are better than one, and with a little coaching, even expensive-looking projects can turn into doable DIY wins.

If you love the look of houseplants but somehow keep killing them, you’re in the right place. I was once a certified fake plant hoarder until I started treating plants like middle school science experiments—watching, researching, observing. It changed everything. From repotting your pothos to propagating your succulents, I’ll share practical plant care tips and help you pick plants that fit you.

With a simple routine (and a little coaching), you can grow your own thriving indoor jungle.
